Description

Secret Shooter – Message Launcher V2

The Message Launcher V2 is a small and fun shooter that fires a special projectile, with a hidden message inside! 💬🚀
Compared to the previous version, several things have been improved:

✅ Pump-action style loading system
✅ Functional trigger
✅ Still uses the proven 0.5x5x25 mm helical compression spring

🔄 Multicolor without AMS
All parts can be printed in a single color – but if you print two shooters in different colors, you can easily swap the parts to create a cool multicolor version.

🕒 Print time: approx. 1 hour
Fast, compact, and easy to print! Perfect for makers looking for a quick and fun project!

Safety warning

This model is a low-power mechanical toy launcher.

Do not aim or shoot at people, animals, faces, eyes, windows, vehicles, or fragile objects. Even if the impact may seem minor, a small projectile can still cause injury, especially if it hits the eye. Wearing eye protection is strongly recommended.

Safety Measures

This model includes constructive safety limitations. The mechanism, tolerances, and material strength are designed for the intended low-power toy function at the original scale.

Scaling, reinforcing, or modifying the model may cause malfunctions, breakage, or unsafe behavior and is not supported.

This model is not a firearm, not a firearm part, and is not compatible with real firearms or real ammunition.

🛠️ Assembly Guide

The assembly is done using simple snap-fit connections, secured with a small piece of filament – no glue needed!
The design is made to hold everything tightly and securely on its own.

👉 Make sure all parts are properly aligned during assembly.
📌 Be careful with the long arms on the case – they can break if too much pressure is applied.

Note:
Two triggers are printed – the only difference is the hole size! One has a slightly larger hole. Depending on the filament used, one might fit better than the other. That’s why there are two!

I’ve also created a step-by-step video guide to make the assembly even easier.

🧵 Material Recommendation

I tested various materials – here are my results:

Recommended:

  • PETG
  • PETG HF
  • PLA Basic
  • PLA+

Not recommended:

  • PLA Matt
  • PLA Silk

These materials tend to have poor layer adhesion, which can lead to parts breaking either during assembly or after just a few shots.
Especially under tensile stress or impact, they fail quite easily.

⚙️ How It Works

The shooter is loaded just like a pump-action shotgun:
Pull the trigger all the way back to lock the spring in place – after that, it’s ready to fire.

Simple, fast, and seriously fun! 💥
