Description
Description
This parametric 3D-printable planter drip tray is designed to catch excess water while keeping your pot elevated and your table dry. Customizable for round or rectangular planters, so you can get a perfect fit for the planters and flower pots that don't come with a drip tray.
Features
- Customizable – Supports rectangular or circular shapes with user-defined dimensions.
- Built-in risers – Keeps the pot above standing water to prevent root rot.
- Drain-safe design – Risers avoid the center, so they won’t block your pot’s drain hole.
- Supports inches – Easily match U.S. standard pot sizes without conversion headaches.
- One-piece print – No assembly needed.
Tips
- Designed to print flat with no supports.
- Use PETG for added water resistance, but PLA works just fine for most indoor use.
- I designed this to avoid the center for better water flow — test fit your pot to confirm clearance.
Behind the Scenes
This project came out of necessity — I needed trays that fit my weirdo-sized planters and didn’t let them sit in a puddle. I used OpenSCAD for the modeling so it could be quickly customized for different flower pots.
