VIDGA Rail Connector with Screw Lock

Overview
A custom-designed connector for joining two IKEA VIDGA curtain rails seamlessly. This part inserts halfway into each rail, creating a clean, stable, and well-aligned connection.
 

Available in both a standard friction-fit version and an improved locking screw version for extra security.

Standard Version (Original Design)

Locking Screw Version (New)
Designed for a more secure and permanent connection.

Recommended screw length: 10 mm for optimal fit and performance.

  • M3 (3 mm screw + nut)
  • M4 (4 mm screw + nut)

How It Works (Locking Version)
The connector is inserted into the rails just like the standard version.
Then:

• Screws are inserted from the top
• Nuts are press-fit from the bottom (tight tolerance keeps them in place)
• Tightening the screws expands the grip, locking the connector firmly inside the rails

This creates a much stronger hold, especially useful for longer rail setups or heavier curtains.

Installation

Standard Version:
Simply push the connector halfway into each rail.

Locking Version:

1. Insert the connector into both rails
2. Press-fit the nuts into the bottom holes
3. Insert and tighten screws from the top
4. Tighten until the connector grips firmly
