Cali Cat Shelf for Ikea Skadis

Cat on the Shelf?!

You hear right and if you are as addicted to test print new filaments with the Calibration Cat as I am you will reach the point of “where should I put my cats?”. So in my case and with owning a Ikea Skadis pegboard hanging next to my printer my idea of a shelf for them came up. 
 

So here are the facts:

• Each shelf holds up to eight cats
• Each slot has a tiny little gap in the front where you can fit - if you want to - one of the labels I provided with the print plates two to six
• There are labels from 1-60,
• There are labels for many common filaments like PLA, PETG, ABS, TUP, ASA,……. 
• There is also a blanc label on wich you can put your own stickers, write on it, print on it, you name it!

Installation:

• hang it on your pegboard, let your cats take a seat and… gratulation it is done.

• if you want to use the labels just press them in with some little force from one side as you can see in the picture

  

   

   

   

Tricks for printing since it is a longer part that can tend to bend:

• clean your print plate
• I used the textured print plate and got good results with it
• let your print cool down on the print plate to prevent warping after printing
• IF you got some warping try to gentle bend the print till he sits flat on a even surface.
