Presenting the overly complicated Bung Buster V 3.0!

 

As someone who taps maple trees and makes my own syrup this is now an invaluable tool for me. My trees ran so heavy this year i was forced to go out and buy a 55 gallon blue water barrel to store all my sap in. But, alas, there was an issue. I had no tool to unscrew and remove the bungs to allow for filling and removing of the sap I was to store in it. So a little measuring and a little time in fusion 360 and I have my tool. The Bung Buster V 3.0! it is a perfect fit to the bungs on the water barrel and it can spin out and tighten the bungs with ease.

Thanks for providing this file! currently printing this tool and will use it tomorrow. Do you have any info on the diameter and thread count of the bunghole? Or do you recommend a specific threaded spout to we can buy or print? For my work we buy 55 gallon barrels of tapioca syrup and the supplier isn’t very helpful.

I don't at the moment. Im using my barrel for storing maple sap before boiling. I use a pump to get the sap out to my evaporator. I could probably design one though
