Description

Side protection rails and accessory bracket for a YAESU FT-891 HF radio.  The side rails are sized to be printed as a single piece printed diagonal on the PS1 build plate.  The rails works for both the right and left size, and allow for installation and removal of the radio face while the rails are installed.  The accessory bracket bridges between the side rails and allows for attachment of accessories such as an antenna tuner, Digirig, etc using velcro straps, the attached photo shows and ATU-100 antenna tuner with internal battery attached with 2 velcro straps.  I would recommend printing with either PETG, PETG-CF or ABS for strength and temperature resistance.  You will need the following hardware to install the side rails and accessory bracket:

4 x M4x8 screws to attach side rails to radio
6 x M3x12 screws to attach accessory bracket to side rails

The mounting holes in the side rail for attaching the accessory bracket are sized so that the M3x12 screws will thread into the rails as they are installed.
