Moskva Guided Missile Cruiser (English: Moskva Guided Missile Cruiser, original English name: Slava, Russian: Ракетный крейсер проекта 1164 "Слава", is the lead ship of the Soviet-built Project 1164 cruisers (also known as the Slava class), the former flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
The Moskva had a standard displacement of 9300 tons and a full-load displacement of 11280 tons, making it one of the few remaining large cruisers in the world.
The ship's foredeck is equipped with P-1000 Vulkan (Вулкан) long-range anti-ship missile launchers, with four launchers on each side, each containing two tubes for a total of sixteen missiles, giving the ship the world's second-largest long-range anti-ship strike capability after the Kirov-class cruisers (20 missiles).
The Moskva was laid down on November 5, 1976, launched on July 27, 1979, and officially commissioned on December 30, 1982. On April 14, 2022, during the Russo-Ukrainian War, the Moskva caught fire, resulting in an ammunition explosion and severe damage. Subsequently, while being towed back to port, the ship lost stability and sank in stormy seas.
