Description
This is the 2nd version of a clock I made a few weeks ago, with some modifications that were suggested.
This is an easy print - no supports, basic settings with .20 layer height, 15% Gyroid infill. *Except the face, the black part has a top surface pattern of Hilbert Curve.
This version uses minimal glue; the starbursts snap into the hole. It's a VERY snug fit and will take a little wiggle jiggle. I also found on a few pieces that a couple of passes on the joint tail with some fine grit sandpaper helped. A bit of glue couldn't hurt, but they hold just fine without it. There are 2 versions of the base - one with a hole already placed (13mm) and one without so you can put your own shape if you want.
The face is glued on. I just used Gorilla Gel glue,
Post Processing on the starburst - I did an extra step on the starburst pieces to smooth out the top ridge. I sanded it started at 440 up to 2000 grit. Since I used the metallic silk, I didn't want to scuff it up so I didn't do anything further to it.
