Minimalist Firewood Rack for the Garden – Modular & Customizable
Seeking a simple, functional garden rack—specifically for stacking firewood—I was disappointed by the available options: Either the design didn't meet my expectations, or the dimensions were unsuitable. So I promptly designed a minimalist rack myself—perfect for individual adjustments and easy assembly.
The rack is designed for standard wooden slats measuring 38x58 mm. Length and height can be adjusted flexibly—simply cut the slats to size. The rack shown measures 300 x 150 cm and is ideal for the neat, stable storage of firewood in the garden or under a shelter.
3D Printing Details:
- Material: Tested with ABS and PETG, with ABS yielding more stable and cleaner results.
- No Support Necessary: The model is designed to be printed without support material. The top of the inner opening will be slightly rough, but this is concealed by the inserted slat—visually, therefore, no disadvantage.
- Printing Effort: A complete rack requires 4 stands. 3 fit on one print bed; for all 4 you need about 1 kg of filament.
A simple, sturdy, and versatile project for the garden, patio, or workshop—and a fine example of how to create customized solutions with 3D printing.
