Hi, great job! Honestly, I hadn’t thought about adding a pause to change the filament it’s definitely a great solution for those who don’t have multicolor printers. Thanks for the suggestion!!

Hello, thank you for your videos! I have learned so much following you on YT. Since I already have an ESP32 (ESP-WROOM-32), can I use this microcontroller? I didn't understand why you advise against using the C3 version. Thank you!

Hi, thanks so much for your message! I'm really glad to hear that my videos have been helpful to you. Yes, you can definitely use the ESP32 WROOM for this project. My recommendation is to always power LED strips directly from a dedicated power supply and use the ESP32 only for the signal pin. If you use it to power the LED strip directly, remember to set the current limiter in WLED to 850 mA; otherwise, with higher currents, you risk burning it out. I don’t recommend using the ESP32-C3 version to power the LED strip directly because the traces supplying power to the 5V pin are very thin—only 0.4mm wide. My concern is that even with currents below 1A, they might burn out.
