Egg Drop Pod (Drop Winner)

Overview

Appologies for the lack of imagery, I only created one pod and I am no longer in possesion of it to take photos. This model is designed to safely transport an egg or other fragile cargo from significant heights. It features a durable shock-absorbing structure that protects its contents from impact. 

Key Features

• Shock Absorption: Equipped with two large TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) wheels that provide cushioning upon impact.
• Removable Hatch: Allows easy access to place or remove the cargo.
• Parachute Attachment Points: Optional attachment slots for a parachute, though testing has shown the model can withstand a 15-meter drop without one.

Usage Instructions

1. Assembly: Stretch the TPU wheels around each side of the pod.
2. Padding: Fill the internal chamber with a foam material of your choice to provide additional cushioning.
3. Securing the Hatch: Use two rubber bands to lock the hatch in place by fitting them into the designated slots.

Performance & Durability

• Weight: When fully assembled with padding and an egg inside, the total mass is approximately 400 grams.
• Max Height: When fully assembled and the pod lands on the wheels, the pod can withstand a 20-meter drop.
