Toyota Oil Filter Tool

This oil filter tool functions as a standalone wrench or can be used in conjunction with ½ inch socket wrench if more torque is needed to remove a filter. It certainly has proved a time-saver as I always have to struggle to get the filters off my cars.

The 14 sided interface is designed to work Toyota brand filters common to many 4-cylinder Toyota engines. Compatibility may extend to other engines, other manufacturers, and some aftermarket filters. The tool is not universal though. 

PLA should be sufficient for most uses and worked for me. 

If you do use a ½ inch wrench, depending on the material you print with and how tight the filter is, I advise applying gradual, gentle torque to avoid the tool flexing and slipping, or the filter deforming. A filter should never require much torque to remove, and tightening by hand is all that is needed to install.

I can confirm filters fitting the Toyota 4AGE, 1ZZ, and 2ZZ engines, so many 4 cylinder Toyota models over many years. Just a few I can personally confirm:

AE82 Corolla, Chevrolet Nova

AE86 Corolla

AE92 Corolla, Geo Prizm
