Wall hook in antique design.

Since the hooks I bought were too small, I decided to design my own.

This was no easy task, balancing print quality and durability.

After extensive testing, however, it worked out.

Many different settings and print positions were tested.

Lying down, standing up, from 0.20mm to 0.08mm.

After discussions with my colleagues, I came to the conclusion to print “obliquely” as shown in my settings.

This resulted in a good print result and strength.

It is important that the wall thickness was increased to 5 wall lines, infill density to 75%, infill pattern triangle to achieve the corresponding strength.

For the supports, the threshold angle was set to 7 degrees, which is quite sufficient.

(In a test print, supports were even completely deactivated once and the print worked).

I printed it with black PETG-HF from Bambulab.

I haven't been able to test another filament yet.

The print time is 4h 50min and 94.57g of filament with supports.

As you can see in the photos, I painted the hooks to give them an older look. (I used silver and bronze acrylic paint diluted with water, brush and sponge).

The holes for the screws are 3mm. For the wooden back panel I used e.g. 3x35mm stainless steel screws.

I think it also looks good in plain black, it's quite modern at the moment :)

I will not only use the hook as a coat rack, it also fits well into a music rehearsal room as a cable hook, or into a workshop. Due to the PETG, it is also well suited for outdoor use, as a hook for bath accessories if someone has a pool at home :)

A thank you also goes to my colleagues https://makerworld.com/de/@sheepme, https://makerworld.com/de/@PeterE, https://makerworld.com/de/@moTmoT, who gave me many valuable tips.

I wish you a lot of fun printing and that the coat hook finds its way into your home :)

Thank you very much and best regards.

Hello, I think this model is really great. Is it possible to get a print profile for PLA filament? I have tried to print it several times with PLA, unfortunately it didn't work. Thank you very much :)
