This is a 1-40 scale model of the Minecraft Happy Ghast from the Minecraft update!

  • I didn't have enough filament to prototype a 1-20 scale unfortunately, but if you do, please post a print profile!

Read Before Printing:

  • Assembly will be required (glue should be minimal to none)
    • Refer to the assembly section below
  • This is my first relatively complex multicolour model (I don't like how multicolour prints waste filament)
    • This will consume about 337g of filament in total (99g flushed/supports/purged ).
    • I've tried to separate as many colours but some small parts that were a hassle to glue together
    • Painting the model will drastically reduce print times and waste.
  • The print profile I've included is a slightly modified extra draft (0.28mm layer height)
    • Total print time should be around 12 hours.
    • You may slice it finer, but wastage and print times will increase dramatically (I'm not patient lmao)

Assembly Gifs:

Tentacles

Some force and care required

Blue Cloth:

This part may require some flexing to ensure proper seating

Saddle:

The saddle will only fit in one direction, so flip it if it seems too tight/flexes

The ghast came out great. Printed it at 50%. The glasses needed to be supported and I combined a few of the plates. Printed in different colors and painted some other parts.

Took forever to print, and came out way bigger than expected (even for being 1:40 scale). But it printed without any issues and looks amazing. And boy are those tentacles hard to attach! I broke one bar and had to use a rubber mallet. Once on, they're good!
