Deer Blind
Print Profile(2)

Description
Here is my version of a miniature classic wooden deer hunting blind (the kind most hunters build for themselves). It is designed for all parts to print with minimal supports and press fit together. It comes complete with a door with a deer logo on it that opens and closes, sliding windows, and even an optional silhouette of a hunter sitting inside aiming out the window. It has the classic 4.5/4x6 rectangle shape with a short wood stand and snap-on ladder. Scale is approximately 1/20 or so. I used Panchroma dual color wood PLA for the blind and transparent PETG for the windows, but it would probably look better with wood-infused PLA or painted brown or camo. The first two plates are the essential pieces with optional plates to print just the windows or hunter.
Assembly:
- Snap window frames to the inside of each side with open slot facing towards window
- Slide windows into frame slots from each side so they meet in the middle
- Snap sides into base by matching bottom slots with holes on base
- Snap roof to sides by matching top slots with holes on bottom side of roof
- Snap door to side by expanding nubs on door over grooves in door mount
- Snap ladder to side under door carefully
- Optional (add hunter in one window in place of window frames to same holes)
Notes:
- Used concentric pattern for wood panels to allow for the patter to flow better.
- Printed with tree supports, but the horizontal leg braces and ladder steps have one layer or so that can sag in certain places. Standard supports or even PETG supports with a smaller top interface value would resolve that issue.
- Ladder snaps are fairly small so be careful when attaching them.
