This little night light reminds me that I need to go camping and, when I do, I can take it with me!  Designed for flexible lighting options and easy assembly, this little lamp comes together quickly and provides countless hours of peaceful soft light.

The print profiles give quick options for a camper with one, two, or three colors.

Big thanks to @lumamannen for the inspiration and initial design for the tea light version!

What to Print

You'll print everything in the Camper Parts folder, and pick one frame from the Frames folder depending on your light source.  Using the provided print profiles sets everything up for you.

Assembly

See the animated GIF for a quick assembly tutorial.  The steps are these:

  1. Snap the windows into the window frames.
  2. Snap the windows and door frame into the camper shell.
  3. Snap the wheel hubs into the wheels by lining up the tab in the wheel with the slot in the hub.
  4. Snap the assembled wheels into the wheel wells in the frame.
  5. Add your lights to the frame.  Follow the cord path if you're using a corded light.  This provides cord pull protection.
  6. Cover with the camper shell.
  7. Screw in the trailer jacks.
  8. Sit back and enjoy the light.

Printing Tips

All parts are oriented properly.  This includes the hub cap which gets flipped if you do “auto orient”.  Keeping it the way it loads makes for a better looking hub cap pattern, but it will print either way.

2 walls with 5% gyroid infill works fine.  Most everything is thin and solid, so changing infill and infill percentage doesn't do much.

Where you need more than one of a particular part, it is marked with a multiplier in the file name.

Boosted! Such a good model, a lot of love & hard work clearly went into the many variants. Most of the travel I did as a kid was with my nan and my first dog in a little caravan around England, Scotland & Wales whilst my parents got their act together. Wanted to do something special for her birthday so I printed the windows in matte white PLA & modelled a thin lithophane based on your original model of the 3 of us travelling when I was 5! She's going to absolutely love it, thanks again for the great work!

Nice model. fits perfectly together. just snap it together. Made a base plate for a tea light with a hole in the bottom to start it. You can also access the battery from there, a lid that holds it in place. Unfortunately, no remixes are allowed so you have to make a similar solution yourself.

Looks great! The no remixes thing is an unfortunate consequence of making it a MakerWorld exclusive. I'll grab a tealight and see if I can duplicate though.

Are those solar panels on the roof? Looks great! Actually, that has me thinking… You could put a real little solar panel on there that charges a light inside…

what kind of pets to use?

Is "pets" autocorrected from PETG? I have transparent PETG in the print profile for the windows, but you could use transparent PLA or even just white too.

I absolutely love this design and all the options for lighting. I have made over 10 of these and I had to make a large one to use outdoors while camping.

Absolutely perfect! Made for mother in law who always wanted a pink and white camping trailer to take her dog on trips with. Her dog passed before it became a reality, so I made a lithophane of her puppy for the front window.
