Global Industries make awesome desks but the power cord is 60$CAD. đ¤ So I decided to create my own with a switch, fuse and can be disconnected. I made two versions, one with snap fit and one with screws on wings. I recommend the screws if you can. The snap fit one is much thinner though.
Hardware
- Standard NEMA 5-15R outlet. About 2$CAD.
- C13 socket with 10A fuse and switch from AliExpress. About 2.50$CAD.
- A short run of 14 AWG. A few cents.
- M4 inserts and screws (I didn't have #8-32 inserts on hand) OD is 5.8mm. A few cents.
- A NEMA 5-15P to IEC C13 120V cable. I salvaged one from a dead computer.
- Solder
- Heat shrinks
I personally printed in ABS but anything would do. The end result is very clean. STEP is included to feel free to adapt as needed.

I make niche utility things that do not get a lot of reach but still take a huge amount of time to prototype. Boost are greatly appreciated!
