Description

"Someday, when your children see this, they'll know the Jedi never stopped fighting for them."

―Cal Kestis showing his lightsaber to Daho Sejan

This is my attempt at making the lightsaber of Cal Kestis from the Jedi: Survivor game. It is the single-bladed repaired variation with the classic components. Because the hilt was originally Jaro Tapal’s, I made sure to size it to a Lasat-sized hand. Due to this extra room, plenty of decorative internals were added and can be quickly viewed just by sliding the main grip off.

This hilt design is 100% printed and needs no glue to assemble, as is the case with all of my designs. My hilts are built around a threaded frame that acts as a sturdy skeleton and tensioning system to keep them nice and tight. I test all of my designs by dropping, wearing, and generally abusing them in as many settings as possible. They are extremely sturdy and will not break. In the rare case that a part needs adjusting or repairing, it can be easily removed and replaced.

These hilts are great for display, sturdy enough for wearing as a fashion statement, fiddling with as a fidget, or fulfilling that need to disassemble and reassemble something (my main reason).

Print and assembly instructions can be found in the files. I would love to hear feedback about my designs and any suggestions for future projects I can work on! Make sure to post your makes for me to see!

Happy Printing!
