Description:

While casually browsing Thingiverse, I discovered this handcuff design by li593776469.

My love for Death Stranding ignited an immediate fascination, prompting me to undertake this project.

Clearly, this creation is impeccably suited to my tastes.

Thus, in the spirit of community, I've refined this model and uploaded it to MakerWorld, inviting others to share in the enjoyment.

I hope you like it!

Preparation:

To complete this 3D printed project, you will need the following:

  • Ample super glue
  • A small file set
  • Four D5x3mm magnets
  • A 20mm long, 3mm diameter compression spring
  • Black filament
  • Gold filament
  • Cyan filament

Furthermore, conduct a rigorous XY hole compensation test on your printer and adjust the corresponding parameters in your print profile. This significantly impacts assembly ease.

Modifications:

  • Generated *.3mf files for A1/A1 Mini/P1/X1 printers
  • Consolidated several unnecessary parts
  • Compiled more comprehensive instructions

Warning:

Using Bambu Handy to initiate the print job is discouraged!

Open the *.3mf file with Bambu Studio and modify print settings to suit your printer.

  • Removed the “Print me if you need cable” plate after reassessing its practicality

I had to drill out the holes. I also modified one part to accommodate a battery and a square control board from a flashlight. I also simplified the chain for easier assembly. Most of the screws were replaced with self-tapping screws and M2.5 screws, and a couple of M4 screws

Because this model was synchronized from the China region but my model was not correctly updated there, I tried consulting customer service but did not receive an effective response😐 If you need it, here is the link: https://makerworld.com.cn/zh/models/1073540-si-wang-ge-qian-shou-kao#profileId-1115892

Rating: 2.5 stars Unfortunately, the model has no tolerances whatsoever, meaning every hole has to be re-drilled or filed, a rather annoying task. In some places, I had to shorten pins or give them a small tip, while in others I omitted them entirely and glued them. It's advisable to pre-print at least 15 spare pins, as they break very easily (this also applies to many other parts, by the way). However, after about 1.5 hours of fiddly work (without glue drying time), you still end up holding a really cool model. (An English instruction manual would help and make assembly a bit easier :) )
