Description

Rio GymPin – For Smarter Training

The GymPin is a clever, self-developed tool that makes your workout routine smarter: It replaces the standard weight pin at your gym machine and automatically pops out after you finish a set. This lets you immediately continue with the next lighter weight – perfect for drop sets or fatigue-based training.

🛠️ Assembly Instructions

Printing:

  • Print Plate 1: All parts can be printed in one go
  • Print Plate 2: Optional ring made of TPU – for better grip, but not strictly necessary

Assembly:

  • Prepare the steel rod (10 mm diameter, 10.5 cm length, groove at 4 mm from the end and 2 mm deep, V-shaped) and insert it into the sled from the top – the groove should fit precisely.
  • Hold the spring from the back between the small holes and fix it in place using the 2 mm pin from the side.
  • Cap (with screw lock):
    • Without TPU ring: Insert the spring from the front almost completely, then fix it with the 3 mm pin from the side.
    • With TPU ring: First push the spring through the ring, then proceed as above.
  • Insert sled and cap into the main body and screw it in – make sure the steel rod rotates with it to avoid damaging the spring.
  • Equip the lever with the torsion spring (one arm into the lever, the other into the intended spot in the main body) – a bit tricky, but doable.
  • Insert the 3 mm pin from the side through the main body, the lever, and the spring, until it becomes visible on the opposite side.

✅ Done!

Your GymPin is now ready to use – enjoy your training!

Replying to @larsba :
I've already printed it out, but I don't know how to assemble it. Do you have an instruction with pictures?
