Alpaka Gear Hub Mounting Bar

Hello!

I made this design to replicate the Alpaka Gear HUB mounting bar.

I loved the design and functionality of the OEM version, but did not want to have to buy an expensive bundle of theirs to get one! So, I took inspiration from the OEM and made my own!

I am sure this model can be applied to many use cases other than a mount for this system, so if you do make it, please leave a review with a photo! I'd love to see and hear about other people enjoying this!

Materials needed:

• (1x) 60x10x3mm magnet ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZMSHN4F?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 )

   

  

Instructions on inserting magnet: 

• Create a ‘Pause’ on the layer before the hole is covered up (layer 24 in my case)

   

  • when paused, lay magnet down into open cavity and resume print when situated. The following printed layer will print over top and seal in the magnet. The print needs no further intervention after this point and will complete on it's own.
