I was quite taken with the aesthetics and functionality of the RAW “Regal Ashtray” (or the “VanAsh” Ashtray), but to be honest, the price for just an ashtray seemed excessive. Unable to locate a printable version, I decided to design my own!

The result? A windproof ashtray with a remarkably convenient resting surface on the lid – perfect for outdoor gatherings or relaxed indoor moments.

To prevent the lid from shifting, there's a small locking edge requiring minimal support during printing. I minimized supports to conserve both printing time and filament.

I printed mine using PETG-CF, but any material will suffice – just bear in mind heat resistance, particularly if you intend to directly tap hot ash into it.

Happy printing and ash responsibly! 😄

P.S.: You can also find the matching J-Safes (tubes) on my profile!

The RAW “Regal Ashtray”, or the “VanAsh” version, truly appealed to me aesthetically and functionally – however, the price for an ashtray? That was a step too far. Since I couldn’t find a suitable printable model, I promptly designed one myself.

The outcome is a wind-resistant ashtray with a practical resting area in the lid – ideal for relaxed sessions indoors or out.

The lid features a small locking edge to prevent slippage. This necessitates some support, but the design minimizes support needs.

My model was printed using PETG-CF, but any material is suitable – simply consider heat resistance when dealing with hot ash.

Enjoy printing – and always ash responsibly! 😉

P.S.: The corresponding J-Safes or sleeves are also available on my profile!
