Description

What have I invented now!!!
This is a fully printable music box resembling a church organ, complete with tubes.
No accessories or hardware required.
It's a mix of a traditional music box and a tube xylophone...
The principle: a roller with pins vibrates the reeds that strike the bottom of the tubes, which have a membrane.
The sound that comes out is a mix between a Jew's harp and a sitar, full of harmonics.
I designed this model around a Starwars theme, the imperial March, highlighting the iconic Darth Vader.

The design is obviously very dark with the red tubes like his lightsaber.

But of course, I'm not going to stop there. Other themes are in the works... To be continued…

For assembly, no screws or glue are required; all the elements fit together.
The box is composed of three parts to provide a flawless finish, without any steps. As a result, the rounded hood can be removed to admire the mechanism in motion.

The crank is made up of two parts printed at the same time. The shaft must turn freely, otherwise you will have to use force to "break" the filament burrs.
