Peugeot 407 Hood Opener/Motorhaubenöffner 05-2011

Unfortunately, the hood opener on my 2006 Peugeot 407 broke. Replacements are difficult to find and expensive. Based on the original, I designed a suitable hood opener in Onshape and, after several tests and adjustments, successfully installed it.

I used eSun ABS Hf, previously calibrated on my Bambulab. Printing was done on a Bambulab P1S using a 0.4mm nozzle.

Print settings are shown in the screenshots.

For those printing in PETG or wanting extra security, I've also created a reinforcing sleeve to fit over the opener. This better absorbs and distributes stress.

The sleeve should be printed vertically, the lever horizontally.

For those who want to print the part in PETG or want to be on the safe side, I also printed a reinforcing sleeve that can be slid over the opener. This absorbs and distributes the load a little better.
