Assembly & Rigging Tutorial Video:

This method works seamlessly with any of Misumi's Slides, including the dual-stage SAR 210-250 series and the three-stage SAR 310-350 series. This method also used GoBilda as a build platform, but will work with any REV, Tetrix, or AndyMark robotics sets as well. Today, I’ll be demonstrating with the Misumi SAR 330.

Update V2:

  • I've now included a custom motor mount with idler bearings to significantly reduce the chances of a belt slipping off the pulley. Since testing, you'll shatter the plastic mounts before slipping a tooth on your pulley.

🛠 Required Hardware:

• Gobilda's Belt-Drive Upgrade Pack for 3210-0002-0004 Cable-Driven 4 Stage Viper-Slide Kit https://www.gobilda.com/belt-drive-upgrade-pack-for-cable-driven-4-stage-viper-slide-kit/

• M3/M4 locknuts

• 8mm countersunk M3 machine screws,

• 30mm M4 machine screw,

• 4mm ID 10mm OD Ball Bearing https://www.gobilda.com/4mm-id-non-flanged-ball-bearing-10mm-od-4mm-thickness-2-pack/

• Optional: m3 sleeve nut https://www.rvspaleis.nl/moeren/hulsmoeren/verzonken-binnenzeskant/9062-2-3_1

I also have an additional model for  stringing up these slides with rope, if you need a different mounting position for your motor: https://www.printables.com/model/1063158-linear-slide-insert-for-misumi-sar-slides-string-d
