Description

I liked this style of hooks, but other designs are only for a single switch plate covers so I made this in Tinkercad.

  • There are 3 styles / profiles of double gang switch plates:
    • 3 hooks on the bottom
    • 5 hooks on the bottom
    • 3 hooks near the top.

  • These are jumbo / oversized (135mm/5.3' wide & tall) plates to cover any blemishes or paint lines around the existing switches.

  • I have manually painted snug supports on the tops of the switch plate cutouts and at the bottom of the screw hole locations. The ones I tried without supports had some sagging in the switch plate cutouts. Since this is a decorative trim, I believe the supports help it maintain a higher quality of print needed for home decor.

  • You'll need to use a deburring tool or another method to clean up the bottom edge of the switch plate where it attaches to the bed when you remove the brim.

If you're looking for a matching single plate with this style of hooks here's one on Makerworld.

If you're looking for a mathcing triple switch plate with this style of hooks here's that on Makerworld.

Nice model. Take my advice and print it flat on the build plate, and use slim tree supports. Note that they come out in one piece. Just pry them out with a small screwdriver.

Looks good! Thank you for the pic and the rating. I did go back and forth on the orientation for a bit. Ultimately I was concerned with folks having to dial in their flow rate to be able to get a super smooth top surface. Then I thought about testing with ironing to get a better top surface, finally just settled on the “upright” position with brim. Could prob dial the brim back too but there’s a whooooole lotta bedslingers out there! 😅

I forgot to say, A1 Mini, basic PLA, no special settings other than the supports. (Holds hanging flashlight by our front door now)
