Dishwasher Status Dial

Inspired by Dishwasher Sign by FMD from Printables, this sleek status indicator helps everyone in the household know whether the dishes inside are clean or dirty—no more guessing, no more re-washing.

Notes/Instructions:

• The 6x3mm magnet holes has 0.25mm side clearance, superglue is optional to hold them in. Just make sure when you orient the magnets, they attract on both holes. My process (poorly explained):
  1. With the BackCover (A), insert two attracted magnets in one of the holes.
  2. Use Dial (B) to grab the exposed magnet in one of the holes of B. 
  3. Put another magnet that attracts to the inserted remaining magnet in A.
  4. Use B to grab the exposed magnet into the other hole of B.
  5. Put the 3rd magnet that attracts to the inserted magnet in B.
  6. Use A to grab the exposed magnet into the other hole of A.
  7. Twist the BackCover and Dial to make sure the magnets attract on either position. If not, you can try to knock the magnets out and try again.
• The two BackCover teeth sit in the cut out on the Cover, and they are different in size. I use super glue in the center hole and the teeth to keep the BackCover secure.
• If you would like to save some materials on support (3.5g → 1.1g), you can try printing the Cover upside down and disable the ironing for top-most surface for this part. I may test this out in the future.
• I used double sided tape to stick this to the cabinetry of our built-in dishwasher (strong adhesive of course would work). However I have not tested if magnets can directly stick to metal surfaces.
