Simulated Knit Fabric

Ultra-dense, ultra-thin unit simulated knit fabric

This model prioritizes the simulation of knit fabric, focusing on texture, thickness, and density.

Therefore, it compromises on weight-bearing capacity and elasticity.

- Support-free simulated knit fabric (fish scale sweatshirt fabric) design;

- Ultra-dense, ultra-thin units, more suitable for controllable cutting sizes in clothing design;

- Attempts at connecting prints can theoretically extend infinitely (beginners should not attempt this).

Current limit test: each unit measures 7.46*9.67*3.16 mm

The print file includes a model for infinite extension, with a pause layer allowing for manual connection attempts.

(Note: When connecting, be careful to avoid burns. The fabric should be laid as flat as possible to prevent damage to the machine. The author only provides the concept and is not responsible for any issues. Beginners should not attempt this.)

Model plate description:

Plate 1: Base fabric (20x16 units);

Plates 2, 3: Horizontal (20x2 units) and vertical (16x2 units) single-layer fabric connection models;

Plates 4, 5: Horizontal (20x1 units) and vertical (16x1 units) double-layer fabric connection models;

Plate 6: Single model with a cutout for repair (used to repair damaged fabric);

Connection instructions (beginners should not attempt):

After printing to the pause layer included in the file (the black part in the image), manually hook the fabric (the white part in the image) onto each unit,

ensure the fabric is flat before continuing the print.

Connection effect:

PLA is recommended for printing. TPU has not been tested, but it is believed to provide a better feel.
