Description

Concept Description:

Inspired by the good old days of mixtapes and boomboxes, the Cassette CarryBox is a fun and functional storage case for your audio cassette collection. The lid features an embossed boombox design, giving it a nostalgic vibe, while the inside holds up to 10 tapes neatly in place. When open, the lid lets you display the cassette you're currently listening to – a nice little detail for any tape enthusiast.

Assembly & Printing Tips:

The box is made up of several separate parts, which means you can mix and match colors as you like. The hinge design is simple but clever, keeping the lid open for display without any extra parts or tools.

  • The hinge consists of two layers: a thicker part at the bottom and a thinner one at the top.
  • Use the longer pins with the thicker hinge section.
  • Print the hinge parts and the base (with the handle) with supports.
  • The lid and the pins don’t need supports.
  • For strength, it’s best to print the small hinge parts and pins with 100% infill.
  • The pins are designed to be a tight press fit – no glue needed. They should lock into the base and lid but still rotate freely inside the hinge arms.

Once assembled, the lid stays open on its own, which makes it perfect for showing off your favorite cassette while keeping the rest safely stored.
