Description

Watch me play : https://youtube.com/shorts/F7QD6vQTO9o

This is a perfect replica of an 18th century military fife (small flute played on the side) based on a replica I own.  It's was used by the british army at the time of the french and indian war and the american independance war for example.  As shown above, It is perfectly playable! However, YOU WILL NEED A CORK PLUG to be able to play the instrument. The cork plug needs to be inserted approximately midway between the hole for the mouth and the tip of the flute.   Why used a cork plug?  Because it can be moved inside the tube and that's how you can tune the instrument! Ideal diameter of the cork plug : 1/2in (13mm).
