Description

3d printers had become too good over the years… 3d benchy can be printed in 15 minutes and it's perfect first try :(

Meet Benchynator created to challenge your 3d printer.

It's a print in place robot which can "say" “I will be boat.” and transform in our well loved boat.

It is available in two versions: B100 and B200 which differ in size. B100 has same size as an original benchy. B200 is 200% the size and it's easier to print.

Boost me if you want more such models.

Before you print:

The model is designed for 0.2mm layer height! (Will add other versions later)

I printed B100 (100% scale) version successfully on highly modified creality ender 5 using PETG filament.

Make sure you turn off the supports in slicer, because all the needed supports are included.

If you have a highspeed bedslinger like prusa MK4S, bambulab a1 (mini), anycubic cobra 3 etc. you will need to decrease the speed for better print, because the linkages connecting halfs of the front boat and the back boat can tip over or print incorrectly otherwise.

If you don't believe in your printer's tolerance accuracy you can try printing B200 (200% scale) version.

Don't scale the model in the slicer, its designed to be printed with the tolerances in the model.

After you print:

You will need to remove supports from the places shown on the images below:
