Description

Ideal Standard Michelangelo ‘side lever single flush’ to 'Fluidmaster Lever Dual Flush' (model LEV079) conversion

I broke the chrome side flush handle on my Ideal Standard toilet - I think it is the Michelangelo model. It has M751 stamped on the underside of the cistern. As replacement handles cost are ridiculously expense and the conventional syphon sometimes played up, I took the opportunity to replace the syphon/ flush with a Fluidmaster Lever Dual Flush Valve.

To fit it, I designed this replacement bracket - the new flush lever being a screw fixing through the side of the cistern, in place of a rocking lever arm. Whilst I made it a good tight fit to keep in firmly in place, it was a breeze to fit. I did not use the washers supplied - the stud does not protrude far enough.

I have since converted a second identical toilet.

No idea if it will fit other Fluidmaster flush valve models.

Hope this is of help to someone.
