Description
Another Ghostbuster cosplay item to add to the collection.
Every Ghostbuster needs to be able to radio the team when they see a focused, non-terminal, repeating phantasm or a class five full-roaming vapor!
This is made using Quentin Machiels' brilliant MT500 replica. I take no credit in creating this model at all.
As per the original the original licence terms - This is NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes .
Quentin is also responsible for lots of amazing Ghostbuster replicas - such as the famous QPack Proton pack, and Gizmo boards - check them out!
I've also added in tgoacher's brilliant MT500 Holster as well, from thingiverse, to make it easier to wear on your costume.
You can find his original model here:

Things to note:
- “Why is there a purge tower if it's single colour?” - It's not actually a purge tower. The original model is hollow (so you can add in electronics, a speaker etc). Printing it in one piece made Bambu Slicer try to add tree supports inside, these broke off on my prototypes and with no way to get the supports out, turned the model into a rattle. This T-Shaped tower acts as a gluing guide for the two halves, so you can join them perfectly. Or, keep the model hollow and use the empty space to fit a speaker and battery!
- "Why is the top of the radio angled on the print bed, but not the bottom?" - Printing the top of the radio vertically gave me issues with the speaker grille not being supported very well. It also made the aerial susceptible to breakage due to the layer lines acting as a weak point.
Printing it at an angle makes a smooth front panel of the radio. You may find you want to sand the aerial and knobs smooth before painting however, as this orientation leaves some layer lines.
- You'll need some bolts and nuts for the holster, an M4 Countersunk head should be best.

Enjoy!
