Description

This multiboard attachment is for the Grid Tie Micro Inverter (up to 350W)

It is both a way to quickly mount the inverter to multiboard as well as an active cooling unit for the inverter.

I used Bambu Lab ABS/GF for this print.
Might be a bit overkill, but now it is very strong and will withstand all forces that might be of influence.

A heat sink (150x60x25mm) is attached to the inverter using heat conductive tape.

The fan itself is a 80x80x25mm 220V unit.

The supplied screws can be used to attach the fan to the base.

Do not use the protective mesh.
Make sure the airstream is toward the inverter.

A small hole is used for the fan wiring.

To attach the Inverter you'll need two M4 bolts, rings and nuts. (The bolts at least 20mm)
Clear any support material from the nut holes and force the nuts deep inside.

From the other side use the bolt and rings to attach the inverter.

The nut and screw holes are intentionally very tight.

This works as a locking nut to prevent everything coming loose due to the vibration of the fan.

All set when you use elevated Multiboard.
If you, like me have the Multiboard directly screwed to the wall, then you will need these Snap Risers otherwise ther will be no airflow for the fan.

To make it all an intelligent cooling system I used Zigbee power monitors and switches to work with Home Assistant as described in my Inverter Distribution Box project.
