Print Profile(3)
Description
This is a skimmer for an aquarium filter. It fits on a pipe with an outer diameter of 12 mm or 0.5 inch. I use it with an Aquael Pat mini.

All necessary parts are included, some in different versions:
- Connector for the filter outlet pipe. 3 different versions are included in the print profile.
- Connector to the skimmer head part. 3 different versions (lengths: 25, 35, 45 mm) are included in the print profile.
- Head part. 3 different versions are included in the print profile.
- Elbow. This is optional!
- Lily pipe. This is optional!
Print plate 1 contains all parts 1 to 5. Printing the plate takes approximately 1.5 hours. I recommend PETG!
Assembly is very simple:
- Part 2 is inserted into the top of Part 1, so that the longer side of Part 2 is at the bottom and on the filter outlet side.
- Part 3 is placed on Part 2.
This is generally sufficient. If you want to change the direction of the outlet, attach Part 4 to the front of Part 1 and align it.
Part 5 (Lily pipe) fits on Part 1 and also on Part 4. However, you can also use the original outlet from the Aquael Pat mini.
Addendum:
- I have added more head parts. For me, the aq_skimmper_top_v5 version actually works best. It depends somewhat on how high the water level is or how quickly it evaporates. It is best to experiment with the different head parts to find out which one works well.
- Additionally, I have added a small connector piece. With this, you can connect the skimmer to filter outlets with an outer diameter of 16 mm, for example, an Eden 94087 FET 100 or Oase filtosmart 100.
- I have also added a Lily pipe that can be connected to an outlet with an inner diameter of 16 mm, for example, Oase Biomaster 250.
Addendum 2:
- I have created a second print profile that contains 2 additional parts which I have optimized.
- The print plate complete collection_new contains all necessary parts.
- The new parts are
- aq_skimmer_winkel_v3_optimized - now has slightly thicker walls and a ribbing so that the assembled parts hold together better.
- aq_skimmer_pipe1_v3_optimized - now has a ribbing so that the assembled parts hold together better.
