Description

This Leather Stitching Punch Aid Plate is a versatile tool designed to assist in punching holes for leather stitching. It securely holds the leather in place while using a hole punch, ensuring accuracy and stability.

Additionally, the plate features four corner radius guides (5mm, 10mm, 15mm, and 20mm), making it a handy multi-purpose tool for leathercraft projects. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced leatherworker, this tool will help you achieve precise stitching holes and consistent corner rounding.

I printed mine in PETG, but I assume it will work just as well with other materials. It’s obviously not as sturdy as a store-bought version in stainless steel or aluminum, but it’s still a great way to test if you need one.

It's main purpose is to hold the leather down while pulling out the chisel.

You may need to smooth out the underside edge if it feels too sharp, even though I added a 45-degree bevel. Otherwise, it could leave marks on the leather.

Nice tool, but it would be nice if the numbers where in a different colour. You can hardly read them, I tried to colour with a fineliner. But that didn't work very well.

Ah, I agree! I don't have a AMS tho, so i didn't even think about it. I could make a new version with extracted numbers if that would help. Thanks for the rating and constructive feedback!

Yeah, that would really help though. that way you can read it easily. You don't actually need AMS to make it happen. If you don't have AMS you just switch colours, but it would be nice if you don't have many colour changes. Perhaps the bottom in 1 colour and than the numbers and the handel in a different one? That way you only have to switch colours once.

Yeah that would work, but can't you just put a pause in the slicer and do it yourself? I don't remember how I designed it but will for sure consider a V2 with tips from you. Thanks for the feedback bud!

Great print. I went with PETG. I'm going to try it, then see if I want to reprint it with a little more heft. Will keep everyone in the loop!
