Designed for 25mm nylon webbing and quick release buckles, it consists of the following:

  • Four underside corner brackets to secure the webbing in place. These affix to the structure of the boxes meaning the straps don't fall off when unfastened
  • Two top corner brackets with clips to accomplish three things; keep the webbing in place, protect the boxes from damage, and secure the lids as a form of clip.
  • Two top corner brackets that, in addition to the above functionality, also have loops for the carry handle.
  • One cross brace with slots for use on the top or bottom. When used on the bottom it slots into the structure of the boxes, keeping the straps aligned
  • Webbing loops for tensioning the straps and securing them in place
  • One carry handle through which webbing can be threaded.

All the parts are best printed in PETG, with the exception of the handle that should be printed in TPU for comfort and flexibility.

Assembly instructions:

  1. Push a cross bracket in place in the center of the base of the box
  2. Push four bottom corner brackets into place
  3. Thread the two lengths of nylon webbing in place; one through each opposite corner bracket, through the cross brace in the middle
  4. Clip the two standard corner brackets in place, clipping them to the hand holds, on opposite sides
  5. Clip the two corner brackets with handle loops in place on the remaining sides
  6. Thread one of the nylon straps up through a bracket, across the top and through the second cross brace, and down the other bracket. You should now have both loose ends on the same side of the box
  7. Repeat with the above step with the other strap
  8. Fasten the buckles to the ends of each strap, clip together, and tighten
  9. Take a smaller piece of nylon webbing and thread one end through the loops on the clip. Use a fastening loop to secure it.
  10. Pinch the webbing in half (vertically) and thread through the handle
  11. Fasten to the other bracket
  12. Done!

I used the buckles that came with the nylon webbing, but you can also find lots of printable buckles here on makerworld.
