Description

Printable inserts for Bambu Labs reusable spools to convert to *half/dual spool. Print a pair of these inserts and assemble as shown in pics.

Inserts come with the Bambu Spool Notch included, a slot for capturing the filament start to aid in respooling from donor spool (Optional and not included in v2 stl), as well as ramped integrated spool end holders (x3) to capture the loose end of your filament. The end holders eliminate the need for external hooks on the unused half that would otherwise hinder usage of a dual spools such as this in your AMS/**Hydra. Ramps do not impede filament feed (tested) into unmodified AMS Units.

*While a pair of inserts will split the spool in half, I have had difficulties getting a full 500g of filament to fully fit due to the loss volume of the inserts themselves, and the area lost to the end holders. Granted my winding is sloppy at best, but I doubt that even with a perfect spooling you'd be able to safely accommodate a full 500g. These inserts are perfect for quarter spools (think mini spool four packs), and consolidating full size spools which are at/below ~400g, so you can make more room in your dry box. (ex. see the last of my pics. Two different colors on one spool takes up less room)

**I have never worked with Hydra AMS mod, or any sort of Filament FEED mod for the AMS, but I would have to assume that the latter may have some compatibility issues. Think PTFE tube extensions to the filament feed ports, and mods like that. I'd be interested to see some feedback from the community on this and Hydra.
