Description

🛰️ Model: Locust IIC

A Clan take on a classic, the Locust IIC brings high speed and serious firepower to the BattleTech battlefield. It keeps the iconic insectoid silhouette while packing more heat than its Inner Sphere cousin. A great addition to any Clan Star or as a high-threat scout in mixed tech forces.

This version of the Locust IIC was adapted from Minihulkmechs' original and prepared for use in BattleTech at 1:285 scale. The model is cut and posed for clean printing, with a peg added to the torso for easy alignment during assembly.

Note: the peg uses tight tolerances. Push it in carefully - forcing it can break thin parts. I snapped a leg on my first test print, so be gentle during assembly.

Perfect for BattleTech tabletop play or display. Clean lines and smart posing make this one print-ready and game-worthy.

My bottom surface always looks like spaghetti, go i need do calibration or adjust settings? My filament is bambu lab basic blue gray, 0.2 nozzle. Bed definitely clean.

I've added an alternative cut print profile. You will get a joining line in the main body, but will have a cleaner mini. Legs also sit better on the bed. Can't help with the underside of the waist support scarring, they have to attach somewhere.

One thing I do with everything I print, is when you slice, look at bottom that is touching plate. If it is not all BOTTOM surface and shows any bridging, I try to slice off the smallest layer from the bottom to make it flat. Some models that might change aesthetics of the model, but I just do not want to fight things. This is nothing against this makers model at all. I just prefer the flat foot so I don't fight supports\anything else. Great model!!!

You made an amazing model!! This was one of my favorite childhood mechs from the original MechWarrior!! I plan to add some detail down the road, but for now it is great in this color!

Snapped halfway through print. Legs are much too thin.

Never had a problem like that. Sorry it happened to you. I have 4 of these in my mech bay.

I just thought about something, try to bed level and recalibrate your printer, as the print head may press on the print and knock it off or have it break. Had this happen few times with various projects.
