Summary

This is a pen in the likeness of a US Navy SM-3 anti-ballistic missile.  The pen has a seamless removable cap so that it looks just like a missile model until the cap is removed revealing that it is actually a pen.  The SM-3 is a very large 21ft or so missile that is fired from US Navy ships, including Arleigh-Burke Class Destroyers and is used to intercept ballistic missiles while they are still in space.

Assembly

All you have to do to assemble the pen is to remove the tip/ink from a Bic pen, and then insert it into the tip of the printed pen.  I tested this print with the Cristal Bic pen, so I know that works, however, other pens may work as well. If you wish to get the same pen that I used, here is an Amazon link:

Bambu Filaments used were:

  • Basic Light Gray
  • Basic Dark Gray

Boost Me (for free)

If you enjoy my work and would like to help support my ability to share more (and even better) models in the future, please consider boosting or buying me a coffee at the link below.   Your support is what helps me have enough filament and supplies to do all the print testing required for my models to be high quality and easy to assemble.  It takes a mountain of test prints for each model. Thanks :-)

Here's a link to my Buy Me a Coffee page, thanks for the support!
