Fidget Finger Drum! (Mini-Djembe)

"Drumming while you work! Ta-ta-tap tap tap tap tap!"

EDIT: Cleaned up Print Profiles and added 3 new ones for thicker drumhead variations and 1 with replacement drumheads for all thicknesses. Video and Explanation further below.

Here is a small, everyday carry, version of my popular Hand Drum model! Like the larger version, this model can be printed all at once, in one go, and results in a tangible, functional, and great sounding fidget drum! You can carry and play it in a multitude of different ways as well!
Rather than my trying to just explain it, here, have a listen:

The drum only comes in one size, but comes in 3 variations of ring size! The ring is attached to the side of the drum to allow you to easily carry it throughout your day and during your play! This model is printed fully in PLA! So, you don't have to worry about using any kind of unique printing material.

The model is printed with the fuzzy skin setting on to provide a nice texture allowing for added friction and grip when holding the instruments - plus a pleasant feel for a hand-held fidget! The fuzzy skin also adds a very plesant visual flair to the model as well!

This is truly a great fidget accessory for anyone who finds themselves tapping away at any given surface like it's a drum! I've been carrying the green one around for about 2 weeks and it has been fantastic. Yes - it can get loud, and that may annoy people. But you can really modulate the volume based on how hard or soft you hit it. 

Plus! If you hold it in your hand and cup your hand around the base, you can modulate not only the tone of the drum (deeper or higher pitch) but the volume too!

I really hope you're able to give it a try and you find it as incredibly satisfying to use as I do!

The Print Profiles:

The primary print profile includes models that print in up to 3 colors (chosen in app or Bambu Studio). I recommend using 2 colors if possible; one for the drum body and one for the drumhead (I recommend printing in Bambu Lab PLA Basic Beige to give the drum head a natural look). This allows you to print with single or multi-color options as you see fit - less color results in a faster print, but minimal waste is utilized as color changes occur only once per color (at a specified layer).

Warning: Do be sure to let your plate cool sufficiently before trying to remove the print from the print bed. Due to the thin nature of the drum head, it could tear when attempting to be removed if the heat has not cooled enough to relinquish the grip.

Additional profiles are included to provide variations of the model with a thicker drumhead so that it can withstand greater force and pressure. Please note- the thicker the drumhead, the less the drum sounds like a drum and the more it sound like slapping plastic. However, I want to provide options available to everyone. Finally, an additional print profile has been included to provide replacement drumheads for anyone who either had a failed print or a misfortunate accident that results in the drumhead tearing. The replacement drumheads are available in all thickness variations discussed above. They friction fit onto the top of a drum body and otherwise produce nearly the same sound.
