Science Olympiad - Optics - Mirror Box
Print Profile(1)

Description
This is the carrier box I made for SO Optics practice. The flip-top uses a four-bar linkage instead of a normal hinge, allowing the lid to be clear of the top at the end of it's travel. The four side compartments each hold a mirror stand (one up, and a 2nd one flipped down so they stack).
The middle section will fit all 8 covers as well as the Laser Source.

Assembly : The lid is connected with four arms, two in the FRONT (marked) and two more in the BACK (also marked - do not reverse, they are a different length then the front ones). All four can be put in place, then rotated to align with their corresponding holes in the lid. Once lined up, you can insert the four caps (and just a touch of glue) to lock them in place.
