Description

3D Printed Volcano – Description & Eruption Guide

This 3D printed volcano model is a fun and educational experiment that simulates a volcanic eruption using a simple chemical reaction.

What You’ll Need:

  • 3D printed volcano model
  • Baking soda (about 2–3 teaspoons)
  • Vinegar (about 50–100 ml)
  • Food coloring (optional, for a lava effect)
  • Dish soap (optional, for thicker foam)
  • Small container

Instructions:

  1. Place the volcano model on a tray or a protected surface.
  2. Add baking soda to the crater.
  3. If you want colorful lava, add a few drops of food coloring and a little dish soap.
  4. Slowly pour vinegar into the crater and watch the eruption! 🌋

How It Works:

The reaction between vinegar (acetic acid) and baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) produces carbon dioxide (CO₂), which creates a bubbling eruption similar to real lava flow.
