Description

This is a single print full body case for the LMN-3 synthesizer that somehow manages to fit within the Bambu p1p build area. The goal of this remix is to make a case that looks a lot less scrappy than the available 2 and 3 piece models available.

All Freecad files for this model are available on the FundamentalFrequency github. Files consist of several layers meant for acrylic laser cutting which have been combined into one piece.  note: A top layer for the keybed is required for the full build -- an STL or DXF can be found within the project github.

Silk PLA was used with default settings but I have yet to test it with ABS, ASA, or PC (my preference).

I used tree supports at 20 deg. I found that this gave it more support around where the model touches the build plate. Supports are not visible in the picture because I excitedly removed them before deciding to upload this file.  I can confirm, if for whatever reason you'd like to proceed this way, you can also 3d print the single layer project files – but there isn't really a reason to do so.

FAQ

Is this project expensive?

Technically, yes. You have to fabricate your own circuit board. I'd only recommend it if you have the parts laying around and only have to buy some odds and ends. Major part requirements :

Raspberry Pi 4 => 4GB

4" HDMI Touch Screen

Teensy 4.1 (Extra PSRAM modification not required)

Custom fabricated circuit board ~$60
