I would be very happy if you gave me a boost. It gives me motivation to continue creating and sharing.
Sink strainer for the kitchen drain. This works perfectly on IKEA's 80mm diameter drain and probably several other brands. Also created a waterproof plug that can be set in two positions, closed or open. Made this as a test when both of mine broke and I was too stingy to buy new ones. I didn't think it would hold tight but to my surprise it held just fine. If you still have the old stainless steel strainer, fit the plug on it. There is a picture of that version too. The hole in the strainera and plug for the screw is pressfit so be gentle.
Things to consider before you print!
-Start by printing the plug to make sure it fits and is leak-proof. Since I have only tested it against an older version of IKEA's drain, I don't know if it works as well against others.
-The plug must be printed in TPU otherwise it will not be waterproof and it sits really hard.
-I printed out the ABS drain strainer and it holds up well to boiling water, etc. I also think PETG works well, but I haven't tested it.
-I haven't put my soul into the print profile because I don't think it is very important. If you want an ultra-fine finis you can experiment with different settings and support.
I hope you will be as happy as I was when I printed it. Don't go and buy a new one and get the one I wanted.
If you like the model, I would be very happy if you give a thumbs up and a boost. It makes me continue with my hobby
It would have been fun to hear how your prints are going. If you use other materials and how they hold up.
Happy printing to you all
