Multicolor Filament Waste Bin for I3 Models
Print Profile(1)

Description
My ENDER 3 S1 PRO originally lacked a waste bin for filament. I've always wanted to do multicolor prints, but I waited so long for Creality's multicolor options that I almost gave up. However, new multicolor bins haven't been adapted for older models.
So I assembled a multicolor bin from an open-source project and integrated it into my older printer's accessories. This waste bin, aside from its function in manual color changes, perfectly matches the Klipper pause point. It also supports the location for multicolor filament changes.
I set this location at coordinates X235Y230, precisely written into the gcode.cfg file and corresponding macro commands. This serves as both the pause point and color-change point. The waste extruded during retraction and feeding falls directly into the bin. This neatly keeps the work surface clean.
I also designed a reverse-sloped chute. Newly extruded filament is quite hot. Considering the bin is 3D-printed, I applied heat-resistant adhesive-backed aluminum foil to the slope. This improves anti-adhesion and allows the waste to slide smoothly into the larger waste receptacle, enhancing cleanliness.
If you're interested in the multicolor filament wiper box mentioned above, I'll upload the model in a few days. It includes an integrated bracket for the Nebula camera. I'll also create a module with a bracket for attaching an original extruder with a collision-avoidance feature; this will integrate into the wiper box. Stay tuned!
