Description

This is a rough idea to create a replacement for the foam ear cushions in the G435 headset. I have been messing with infill types and wall settings to try an recreate a more spongy feel with TPU filament, with varying degrees of success.  Also spliced my model and a lattice model by RobotMama on Thingerverse which has greatly increased the sponginess (takes a lot more print time and is flimsy).

Should several more trials with FDM and TPU should fail to reproduce a acceptably soft ear cushion replacement. My next takes will be to test out some flexible resins (improved accuracy on SLA). But if you have any advice on how I could make a stong the TPU structure that is softer then something comparable to a dry sponge I would be happy to take the advice.

Side quest: Improving the cushions air flow while still retaining passive noise reduction and softness.
