Description

Aesthetic photo of printed model

This is a two-part shell which, while entirely original, adopts the best functionality and assembly from the original shell made by Nintendo. This shell is intended as a replacement for damaged or dirty OEM diskettes.

Assembly

I recommend a small dab of super-glue on each mounting socket of the Side A's interior. With the the disk assembled, place a heavy book or flat object on top for atleast 15 minutes to ensure the shell is affixed evenly.

Overview of each printed shell, Side A and Side B
Side A & Side B separately
Side A has “sockets” or registration keys for the posts on Side B to index into, ensuring excellent alignment.

Printing

While not a requirement, I recommend using a smooth PEI sheet to print your shells — it really helps the printed labels stand out! If you print with texture please share photos so we can all see how it looks! 👍
