Magnetic Chalk Holder - All Shapes!

Magnetic clip and chalk holders for all the major shapes! This will fit Taom, Predator, and Masters style chalk. The base clip and each chalk holder uses 4x D10x3mm Round Magnets. Works in PETG and PLA the same

You will need to use the print pauses (in the .3mf) to slip the magnets in mid-print. 

THE STLS DO NOT HAVE THE PAUSES BUILT IN. The pauses need to take place on the layer the bridge starts over each magnet gap, 2 pauses for the clip, one pause for the bases

PAY ATTENTION TO THE PAUSES!  

After you slice, scroll through the layers and look where the pauses are, they should be on the layer that starts the bridging over the magnet holes. 

The base clip has 2 separate pauses for magnet insertion and the chalk holders only have 1 pause, where you insert both magnets at the same time!
 

PRO TIPS

• Mark your magnets so you know which side you are placing and can orient the other magnets correctly!
• Place the needed magnets on the front edge of the build plate after the purge line is done
• Be there and ready with magnet in hand BEFORE the print pauses
• As soon as the print pauses, with one hand start to insert the magnet(s), and with the other hit resume (Play button) at the same time
  • The printer takes a good 5-6 seconds to come back to the object and resume printing (remember you want to get the print resumed quickly to maintain a quality finish with no bulging lines to to hot layers added on top of cold ones. 
     

The faster you drop the magnets and hit resume, the smoother your layer lines will look!

Why not lay the clip flat for easier 1x magnet insertion? Because then it would requires supports, and not finish as nicely!
