Description

Another esp32 case, but i found it super hard to find one for the board I have. Its a Esp32-wroom-32d but it has an extended wifi module/antenna that extends off the board. I read on reddit these particular boards have better wifi, which i can confirm.
But theres not many cases that will fit this, plus i wanted room for Dupont connectors below and a bit of extra space for another module if needed. I used this setup for a WLED setup. This one in the images is printed in Bambu Matte PLA - Black.

This is really designed specifically for Esp32 Boards like in the images, note the pink arrow showing how the Wifi module extends past the end of the board.

This is a remix from a design from @Grunt_487841 on printables, but that was for a different esp32 board. So the length and width are different. Plus added a slot for the longer wifi to slide into. And added some vents to help cooling and wifi signal. Also added a hole in the base for the dupont connectors to enter.

Excellent work, one point for improvement is to add a locking mechanism for a better fit between the parts

Thanks for the feedback. Not quite sure how I would add a locking mechanism. But I will take a look and see if I can.

The case worked perfectly for my ESP-32D. Excellent. I printed it with Velvet PLA. The only thing I think is missing are clips to secure the case, because the current design is very fragile.

After trying numerous other ESP32 board cases, this one fit perfectly. Printed in PETG on BL P2S. Thank you!

Thanks! Much appreciated. Glad it worked for you. I had the same issue, tried a bunch and couldn’t find one that worked. Makes it extra worth it when it works for someone else too

Just was i was looking for! My ESP32 Wroom did not fit correctly but it was easy to remove some plastic to make it fit!

The plastic that is between the header openings was a bit too wide. I would think that the headers would be a fixed width. I'll try removing the plastic to make it fit.
